This is the 3rd module in a 4-part certificate program offered by HEAL at the University of Colorado Anshutz. Attendance and participation in all 4 modules can lead to a certificate of completion.
This module focuses on what it means to be an effective ally within healthcare and beyond. We will define allyship as an active and ongoing practice rather than a static label. Through interactive discussion and skills-based practice, participants will learn how to speak up and intervene when they witness behaviors that undermine safety, respect, or inclusivity. Emphasis will be placed on balancing courage with empathy, ensuring interventions are constructive and supportive. Participants will leave with strategies to foster environments where all individuals feel valued and respected.
