We develop a deep and valuable bond with our dogs that makes us eager to share them with our community. We love them unconditionally, and they are regarded as cherished family members. They feel the same about us, often showing their love by simply appeasing us. So, when they participate in animal-assisted activities, do they do so because they enjoy it or because we enjoy it? If the answer is both, that’s wonderful, but what if they do it just to make us happy?
