Sonya is a doctoral student in Counseling Psychology at Florida State University. She also has her master's in Social Work and a certificate in Veterinary Social Work. Her primary research interests are trauma, coping, and resilience in adolescents and animal-assisted therapy. She enjoys volunteering with her therapy dog, a dachshund named Mr. Fraggles.
