Sarah Coose’s work focuses on how tourism affects animals and, sometimes conversely, how animals influence human activities. I’m particularly interested in combining social science methods, like ethnography and interviews, with biological techniques, such as endocrinology and spaciotemporal data, to better understand these interactions.
I’m deeply passionate about both animal welfare and conservation, as I believe that protecting wildlife goes hand-in-hand with supporting sustainable human-environment relationships. In the future, I hope to expand my research to improve animal welfare strategies in tourism globally and contribute to the long-term preservation of animal species.
