Dena DeSantis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience and recently earned a Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Alabama, where her research focused on how ADI-accredited assistance dog organizations in the United States support clients through the loss of their assistance dog. She holds certifications in canine massage, pet CPR, and has completed the Veterinary Social Work Program at the University of Tennessee. Additionally, she currently serves as the LinkedIn lead for the American Psychological Association, Human-Animal Interaction Section’s social media team.
