Human Canine Collaborative
Albany/NY/USA
I am a doctor of OT, human-animal bond facilitator, and dog bite prevention strategist. I have over 10 years of experience practicing and facilitating animal-assisted activities and cultivated expertise in AAI while in grad school through developing a CE course on best practices for canine-facilitated interventions and conducting an accreditation preparation for Dogwood Therapy Services, under the guidance of Melissa Winkle. Currently, I provide educational and therapeutic services focused on trauma recovery and trauma-informed care through cultivating skills in somatic consent, nervous system regulation, and human-canine communication. I also have over 15 years of experience working in canine behavior consulting, developing animal-assisted intervention programs in educational, carceral, and homelessness settings. I currently volunteer with the Co-Sheltering Collaborative, supporting their Racial Justice Initiative.
